Everything comes to an end so our trip and may we say the last one. We had a very good time again but it is getting to costly with travel insurances etc. We celebrated Liz birthday that evening with family in Oudenbos visiting a restaurant called Het Zusje. We have been there once before and was very nice. It is a sort of Tapas place where you can order lots of things to try out. It comes in small portions. There are a few spread out in Holland and is a great success. Next day there were a few tears but than there is always Skype, so not everything is lost. We were also happy to see Ronald & Elly who live in Belgium but very close to Liz brother Hugo. We saw there new home and met the kids. Can't have it any better. We are off to Halfweg close to Haarlem where we spend the last days to see more Family and Friends to say Good Bye. First of we saw an old friend we know for years. We were very happy to see him once more. That was followed by a visit to Liz Girlfriend for over 80
years named Annie. Even our boys know her. She is not anymore in a very good state but is still there that was nice. We also met her son Tim and his wife Rae such nice people. We drove around Haarlem what is not an easy task to miss the many push bikes pedestrians and what else is moving about on those so very small roads and streets. Everybody seems to have one or two cars that are parked on footpath or so close together you wonder how they can get out. It is very hard to visit people through the parking problems as well to go out to eat. Parking around restaurants is most difficult. But we managed and did all the things we wanted to do. We were on Sunday at Gerda & Dolf were we spend a nice afternoon. Met up with Astrid and Vince who go next week to Portugal for holidays. Dolf and Gerda will fly up there as well. Very nice for them.We saw S am as well. She will come to Adelaide this year and see us. We went also for a day to Amsterdam. Parked the car, not easy to do, at

eating at het zusje Ikea. Had to wait to get a park but we were lucky. Liz always wanted to see where she has spend her younger years in a children's home. She knew it was on the Stadhouders kade and the school was in Frans Hals straat. We found line 4 would take us very close,so we did. Even than we had to do a lot of walking but we came to Frans Hal straat. but no school. A Lady just leaving her house, was a help.We asked her and she had a key to an old porch that was an earlier entrance to the school what in the meantime does not exist anymore. The school disappeared in 1992. But we were shown a few interesting things that were left behind. The Children's was gone years ago and no memories were there, but we were happy to have done this. We walked back most of the way with making a few stops into shops and cafe's for a drink. It was that day 31 degrees in Amsterdam. Our last Sunday we went to the Zaan to meet up with Ria and Peter. Family from the Korvers in Adelaide. If there we always will go
and see them. This time we also met Martin and his lovely children. They were visiting their Oma. A s last we went to Limmen not far from where we were.Pity Hans and Marianne were in Spain for holidays. To day Tuesday Liz is preparing the suitcase for the way home. We have to take the car back that has done a marvellous job. Very nice car to drive. We will see Gerda and Dolf on Wednesday and go to Houten Klaas and that is definitely the end. To anyone that has plans to go to Holland for a visit okay but Holland is not Holland anymore. We have been now a few times but we have to say it is getting worse by the year, Hope you all have enjoyed the blogg. Internet is not always there but we tried to show you what we did. Bye we signing out Alliz.
