Tour finished, met Lynne and Tony and checked into apartment. Yay glad to have a washing machine and home cooked meal, thanks Lynne.
24/9. Had a leisurely day and checked out the Heineken Experience, not bad but crowds of people (Hate that)
25/9. Slept in, yay after a leisurely brekkie, we went in search of Old Holland and country side, we found it without too much trouble (tour director gave us a heads up a couple of days ago on what's good and where to go so can't take full credit for that)
We got the tram into central and picked up a bus to Zaanse Schans to see the windmills and clog making. Next we took a bus to Marken where the streets are like walking thru a museum and a ferry to Voldam. Really lovely.
26/9. Went to the Rijks museum and checked out some Rembrants and others. Then shopping for another bag, oh dear.
And that's Amsterdam. A city of boats, bikes, booze and brownies.
Pack bags, ready for trip to Berlin.
