I know everyone has been longing for us to post something, dying everytime you log in and see that nothings been posted. Well baby birds, I am here to feed you. We arrived in Amsterdam on the 12th of May, right away we were lost. We didn't know what we were doing James Hunter McCoy Haisten ran away from an alarm in the airport cause us to be arrested...just kidding the latter part is not true. However, he did have some difficulty buying a ticket from an automated dispenser, in fact we all did. Once we got our tickets we blindly hoped onto the first train we saw, first class of course, heading the wrong way. Anyways that was the first hour in Amsterdam. We found the flying pig, our hostel and our home, right away and could smell that it was clean. We proceed to rent bikes and not join tour but explore on our own. Once again we got lost but it was different this time because we were in danger of seriously harming ourselves. The first two minutes Mack almost got side swipped by a tram. We dont mean to make fun of Mack because four minutes later Brandon and I almost got hit by a tram. The Van Gogh Museum was our destination but we somehow ended up at the Anne Frank House was where we ended up. Eventually, we made it to the Van Gogh Museum, which was an experience we will never forget. The paintings depicted his life and how his style evolved to reflect, personally I loved Tree-Roots. The second day (today)we rented bikes again and only one near death experienced...it was Mack again. We visited the hieneken experience and a local brewery, I think can speak for all of us when local brewery had better beer and great atmosphere. Not to mention the windmill connected to it helped a bit. Brandon and I got rail passes and Mack is joining us for another great chapter in this extravanganza in (drum roll please).........Brussels.
