In the afternoon, we left for the airport of Bali, Denspasar. This two flights went everything than comfortable. The first flight was fine, but then slowly the problems started. Yesterday evening, I had a chat with an Australian backpacker. He was already in Ubud and wanted to go with a friend to Kuta. His friend, should come out of Australia, but all flights to Bali from Australia and returns were cancelled. This was due the activity of a Volcano at Bali. The Volcano released Volcanic smoke which is dangerous during the air flights. Therefore, all flights were cancelled to and from Australia. When the wind changes and the smoke will to the direction of North Asia and Europe, it means that our flight would be cancelled as well. Which means that we could not leave Bali. ... read more

Arrived after the Johannesburg tour, with the memories still fresh in our mind, I had to prepare for my fight. I took a fast shower, my backpack was mostly been packed. Our flight would leave around 23.55, and Bheki would like to leave around 19:00. It was a drive of 45 minutes. However, the two girls of the Soweto cycling tour were not back at 19:00. They came in a hurry at 19:15. They took a fast shower, pack their bags and they were finished at 19:30. It was time to go, to leave South-Africa and to go back to home. In 45 minutes we were standing at the airport of Johannesburg. And it was time to say farewell to Manda and Bheki. I found this quite hard. They took a very good care for us ... read more

To every trip, there comes and end, and today it’s the day. Jordan was a great adventure, and I really feel myself privileged to visit this great country with it’s beautiful treasures. My highlights were: Petra, especially the Treasury, is without doubt the most beautiful thing I ever saw in my life. Floating in the Dead Sea, everyone should do that. Wadi Rum, beautiful sights, the climbs and a great camel ride. Wadi Dana, this hike was really adventures and the nature park is so beautiful and Madaba, much art, friendly people and a great atmosphere here. The local people were hospitable, and gave a great sight in their lives. But now, it was time to go home, back to the Netherlands and say farewell to this great country. We had to be early at the ... read more

This day we should leave England and going home to Netherlands. I didn't want to go home. It felt too early to leave. I really had the feeling that I could stay at least some days or even one week (two weeks?) more. But we really had to go, we couldn't stay longer. We had to go back with the bus, and early. We had to gather 7.15 am (English time) by the bus. Our hotel, in Luton opened the breakfast earlier today, at 6.30 am (Normally at 7 am). We couldn't use the English traditional breakfast, but we had a good breakfast. Arriving at 7.10 am almost everyone of the group was gathered by the bus. The luggage had to go in the bus. We should leave at 7.30, but we left 15-10 minutes earlier. ... read more
