May 8 – May 18, 2016 It is hard to believe but in a couple of days it will have been 3 weeks since we left the US for the Netherlands. We stayed on Tsamaya “on the hard” for 6 nights and then got launched on Tuesday, May 10th. Everything went without a hitch which is always a good thing. Like so many others we love to travel and we love to sail so cruising makes a lot of sense. Janice has retired from Cornell as a business manager and Bob has retired from South Seneca school district as the high school principal. It's time to sell the house, get rid of whatever doesn't fit on our 40 foot Caliber LRC named Tsamaya (this means Travel Well in Setswana) and set off to see the world. Janice and Bob: What with remodeling a house and getting your sailboat ready for another sailing adventure you two are incredible. Don has also enjoyed reading about your adventures. Lovely pictures - like being there with you. We are remodeling the attic room and find that quite a challenge; at some point I will have a full bathroom upstairs -- maybe!!?? Don fully retires July 1 -- ha - he is already off in June for an NSF review in Washington State. Again, thank you for your lovely posts. Enjoy the sail and relax perhaps.
