Ok, you know when sometimes people come back from their amazing holidays in the Caribbean Islands or Fuerteventura and keep telling you about the PARADISE that they visited! Well, no need to be jealous anymore if you've been to Comino . Yes yes yes! The wonderful name "The Blue Lagoon" gives it all away (I'm sure you've all tried the famous drink!). It is such a pretty place, there are tiny boats that take you there from Malta (not too cheap though) and they generally run every 1hr and only operate until 7 pm if remember correctly, so you need to watch time! It is literally like from postcards from the destinations I mentioned right at the beginning. The water is just unbelievable: so clear! You know when you go swimming in such water, you kinda feel very safe and comfortable, because you can see the bottom - but let me tell you that's an awful deception. I swam for ages, and ended up really far away from the coast (throughout the whole time kept thinking it was shallow water as I could see the bottom ground!) and then so started panicking massively! So yeah, my warning - be careful! Anyway, unfortunately Comino IS a very popular spot for tourists, so there will hardly be any place for you to put your towel. But the advantage is that you can hire a chair under an umbrella. Again, it will cost you some money, but it isn't too bad. And one more thing to mention: here is where Pete proposed to me! So it is definitely one of the best places I've ever been to! Happy times :D
