After heading out of Germany this morning on our way back to Switzerland, we stopped very briefly in the small country of Liechtenstein to have lunch. We are once again back to the amazing clear rivers. I also took the opportunity to get my passport stamped since no one seems to do that anymore. Cost me 1.50 euro but it was worth it and how many people are going to have? Also got off a postcard to back home because how many people have been to Liechtenstein? It's a very small country in between Austria and Switzerland. Only has 30,000 people according to our tour director and has twice as many cows as people! As we were leaving Switzerland we filled up with petrol ready to head for Liechtenstein. We thought the currency would be euro's so we used them all up in the petrol station, only to arrive their and oops, it was swiss francs there too!!!! For those of you who don't know its the 4th smallest (6km across, 26km up) country in the world and its between Switzerland and Austria. Have to say theres not much here except a nice small camp site with a pool set in the mountains with yet more lovely views and a capital city the size of Castle Point. The 3rd smallest country in the world! And absolutely beautiful too… had to pay 2 euro to get a stamp in our passports to prove we’ve been there! What a scam  but we fell for it anyway!... read more

hello just aqquick entry to report that we are in Lichtenstein, one of the smallest countries in the world. north to south it is 26km and west to east it is 6km! it is nestled between switzerland and austria.
