From Hanau, Germany, we drove south towards Nurnberg, on Autobahn 3. Then towards Munchen on Autobahn 9. We then look for signs towards Innsbruck, Austria. Then to the Italien border of Brenner. And then to Vicenza where an army barracks called Caserma Ederle is located. This is where we camped inside this small post. From here, Venice is only 25 miles. After Venice, we drove to another small army post called Camp Darby by Livorno. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is just nearby, Lucca and San Gimignano are short drives. Florence is another day trip. We left early morning and drove to Rome that took us about 5 hours. Another must for travelers is the Colloseum. From Rome is Naples which is about two hours. We camped at a military recreational area called Carney Park. We booked a trip to the Island of Capri to see the Blue Grotto.
