We drove 100k north, the final section along the western edge of the mountainous Parco Del Monte Cucco to the village of Scheggia where we had planned to spend the night. However, we didn’t fancy either the pace or the facilities so we went a further 10k to the town of Gubbio where 10 years ago we had witnessed the exciting youths’ version of the Corsa dei Seri ( blog link ). In the evening we went into the quiet town for a meal.
