Into Italy

We said goodbye to Mike and Sylvia, drove the 40k beautiful coast road to Cannes and had lunch with Trevor and Jennie on the terrace of their apartment overlooking the Golfe de la Napoule.

Our destination for the day was a campsite outside the town of Ventimiglia just over the border in Italy. We had hoped to continue there along the coastal road, but due to heavy traffic we resorted to the motorway, the first time on this trip we have used a toll road, and arrived at 7.30, just before it got dark.
