Hi everyone! Well today we travelled to see the leaning tower of Pisa and the walled city of Lucca. We took the long and winding roads there for our trip of about 3 1/2 hours. Wayne is really getting the hang of driving like an Italian!! We stopped for lunch at a restaurant that Stan had read about called Emillio. There we had another incredible meal. Check out the picture of the raviolli stuffed with spinach and walnuts - devine. And Michelle, your Dad is eating pasta!!! Next we went over to see the leaning tower and it really leans! We also visited the Bapistry and the Church. All three are amazing works of architecture! We didn't climb the 300 stairs to the top though but we did all try to hold it up! Next we went on to Lucca. Lucca is a walled city that has three levels of walls dating back 2000 years. It is one of the only fully intact walls around and the walls circle the city for over 2 miles. It was a
great town to walk around in, again a surprise around every corner! Tomorrow we are off to see Siena which is one of the best kept medival towns. Talk to you soon, M.

Sam and Ron, yes I agree it would look nice with a creamy white pin stripe suit, but I am waiting till we get to Milan!! Stopped by Lucca today and the pizza sucked. W.

A great picture Wayne ,Its how Italians eat fresh and local I dont think they deviate from local cuisine.I mean if youn are on the coast its all seafood but fresh and local not alot of fowl ( this is of the gentleman holding the pigeon and pheasant) I would have liked to have eaten at his casa that night did you?
