As I was reading Dan Brown's Inferno....
I was trying to remember each place from my last visit there years ago. I wished that I could be there and follow the trail afresh. And here you are doing it. Thanks for all the pictures. Were all the places mentioned authentic, or was a lot made up? By the way, I read in the paper today that the Boboli Gardens were selected in this year's list of World Heritage sites.

Inferno locations
Actually, yes, the locations, paintings, sculptures, etc. were all legitimate. Although I couldn't find the secret wording in one of the green flags in the Hall of Five Hundred even after zooming in on the painting - but I still might have missed it. I was impressed at Brown's research and it was fun to retrace their steps from the book. That's great to hear about Boboli - the gardens are very nice and it is deserving.
