Hello everyone!
I have been horrible at keeping up, I know…sooo I will write now to kind of explain where I have been. I have been here for a little over a month and it has been fabulous. With our program we have gone to Siena and Venice. I absolutely loved Venice. Then, with a few friends, I visited Cinque Terre and Almafi Coast, both of which were amazing experiences in their own right.

Cinque Terre was great, but definitely not what I had expected. It is 5 cities that lie within one region, and people basically go there to hike. Yah, I really wasn’t aware of that until I got there. We started with the two hardest cities and worked our way to the easier ones. It definitely was a lot of work but it was worth it. I have a lot of photos from the beginning but as time passed on, I just got too tired to take any more photos. Overall, this trip was outstanding and definitely worth my time and efforts.

Almafi Coast was absolutely out of this world! It is probably one of my favorite experiences thus far. We took an overnight train to the southern part of Italy, by Naples. My overnight train experience was unique- I got to sleep in a six person car with a 5 person Italian family. I sat right in the middle, it was awkward. It was pretty hard for me to sleep but I managed some. We arrived at about 5 am and traveled through Sorento. Then later in the day we went to our hostel which was pretty amazing. The following day we did a water boat tour, which was a lot of fun. We swam in the sea, under a waterfall, I jumped from a 20 foot rock/cliff, I swam in the Blue Grotto, and we just got to see so many beautiful perspectives of Mother Nature. Overall, I had an amazing time!!!!

School is going great too, that is why I am here after all! I really love the people on my program. I am making a lot of great friends. I look forward going back to Madison and knowing we will all still be friends!
Well hope all is well in America!
P.S.- I was so sad when Chicago did not get the Olympic Bid!
