Our last train journey together to Palermo where we said good bye to Colleen and Peter and off they went on the next leg of their journey to Sardinia. Finding special Italian locations
Always good to find something before the crowds. There is something special standing in a room surrounded by marble and gold....and chanting. What an experience. Italian train travel....I'm beginning to plan our trip to northern Italy in the fall and will be doing research on those trains you've been riding.

Italian trains
We found it easy to book online and you get ticket and scan code to your phone or iPad . Or if you get a paper ticket at station you must validate it before you board the train. Best of luck with your Italian trip ..look forward to your blog then.
