Ocean View From our 4th Floor Balcony
There was a huge cruise ship out in the bay later, but I got fascinated watching some workers shinny up the tall palms to whack off dead branches. If you look closely, you can see the truck on the pathway below where they were putting the cut off branches. You can also see a ladder they used for the shorter trees. Or you could look out at the ocean We headed for Dolce Aqua today but, due to a bus mix up, we wound up going to Ventimiglia and coming back to the hotel where we crashed for a couple hours. Missing the bus turned out to be a good thing. We hadn't realized how tired we were. It made the rest of the day and evening so much better. Going with the flow is super important at our age, maybe at any age.
I'm finding out my Italian, while pretty good, still has some major flaws. I asked the waiter for tap water, "acqua da gabinto," but I should have said, "rubineto." Rubineto is the tap, gabineto is the toilet.
We found a computer where we can upload Anita's photos from her camera, so expect some photos tomorrow.
