Greg & I have become real tourist, hop-on-hop of buses, great amounts of walking, queues and long lunches. Rome is a wonderful city with so much history and art. Today we saw some of the classic Rome sights Piazza Venezia, Altare della Patria, Fontana Di Trevi and Piazza di Spagna. Unfortunately, the Spanish steps are under renovations but we found many other steps to climb... doh. We spent the afternoon doing a guided tour of the Colosseum and history of Rome – We had Rob, a wonderful Archaeologist student guide us through the beautiful Colosseum and to think they invented so much that we have today – lifts, stadium roofs and bottled sweat as an aphrodisiac. Then we had a lovely walk back to our hotel thought the Palatino and Roman Forum.
