My feet are really starting to get sore from all the walking we have been doing, I'm just whinging as it is definetly the best way to get around and see everything. We have done 2 free walking tours, 1 was around the city centre which took us to the Spanish steps, the Pantheon, Trevi fountain and 2 other fountains and the Piazza Navona all fascinating sights. Today we went to the Campo De Fiore where there was a market happening, lots of colour and food for sale, then we did a second walking tour to the Piazza Venezia the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, this took 90 mins and then we walked around the excavations and forum. As our ticket lasts until tomorrow we will return and see the Colosseum tomorrow. We have met lots of Aussies here and they all enjoy a good chat about their experiences travelling.
Tonight we are meeting Sue and Stu and going out for dinner with them so it will be great to catch up with friends from home.
Thanks Pam for sending me a message saying "Go Pies", it was great of you to let me know the result. Unfortunately I was sad to hear that St Kilda did'nt win and I feel very sorry for you David for making the effort to travel to Melbourne twice to finally watch them lose.
Ok another 2 days in Rome and then heading south to Naples and Sorrento. Hope everyone is well at home and I am glad to hear the weather is finally improving. We have been very lucky with the weather here in Italy, hope it stays that way.
