Today was our last full day in Sorrento. We had tossed up whether to do another day trip back to the Amalfi Coast or go to another island, or possibly Naples, but decided to simply take it easy and stay in Sorrento.

We spent the morning wandering the town of Sorrento. We loved the area right on the coast, but were not so keen on the hotels and scenery once we moved away from the sea views.

We wandered in and out of shops buying a few souvenirs before heading to the very pretty Cloisters for a look around. I had read about the Valley of the Mills on Trip Advisor so we then decided to find it before lunch. It turned out it wasn't far at all and we pretty well tripped over it. Quite amazing how these old mills had become covered with plant life, it looked amazing.

We ended up in the main square, Piazza Tasso, for lunch at the Fauno Bar, where we knew we would get good people watching. We both really felt like a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and they had one on their menu for only €3. We decided that

that seemed far too cheap so thought that it must be something else. We ordered a chicken and cheese crostini instead, thinking that that would be a chicken and cheese toasted sandwich. Lesson learned, we should have asked! Our crostini was actually cold sliced chicken on a piece of toast and not very appealing at all, whereas we saw lots of the €3 ham and cheese toasties come out and it was exactly what we had been hankering for.

Once lunch was over we shopped some more before doing a final load of laundry at the local laundromat. While we waited for it to finish we did some wine tasting in a little enotica before our final Sorrento dinner at what had been our favourite restaurant, Delfinos, in Marina Grande. As it was dark and getting a bit chilly we caught a cab there and back. It was another amazing meal, we both had pasta for starters, Gs with lobster which he loved. We then both had a red snapper again filleted at the table with potatoes and garlic broccoli. Yum, would definitely come back here any time.
