Started the morning off with the regular bread and jam around 9 and headed towards CAPRI. I had to take a train to Sorrento and then a boat to the Island. It was a beautiful island and I had no idea where to start and how to get around. The tourist information lady was not helpful at all. I just followed the crowd to some boat slips and bought a boat ticket that went around the island. It took about hour and half to go around the island with a stop at the Blue Grotto in the middle...... This was awesome because when you get to the Blue Grotto, there are little row boats that come up to the boat and three people get in each one. You then get rowed over to this low entrance into a Cave. So low that you have to sit on the bottom up the row boat and lean all the way back. prob 4 feet clearance if that. Then when your inside the water is so blue from the sunlight outside and its a huge cave that is pretty much pitch black other then the blue water lighting part of the cave up. All the Italian rowers are singing too with the echos bouncing off the wall. It was a really cool experience.

We get back on the boat and finish our route around the island. I took tons of pictures because I wasn't sure how some would turn out since the boat wasn't really staying still for me.

When we got back the main port I hopped out and took a tram up to the center of the town. I was looking for a route that would take me up higher and get some good shots of the island. Well that didn't happen since i took a route that lead me to private property there for dead end. It was good hike too so I just went back down and walk through the city some more and then grabbed the next ferry to Sorrento. I was starting to fall asleep on the ferry and the train ride back to Pompeii.

When I got back to the hostel I hate some home made pasta and got my Hostels ready for Florence tomorrow night. Yeah so I had to change my plans up a little. Siena is a real pain to get to from Rome and take about 4 hours but Florence from pompeii is 2 hours. And from Florence to Siena is 1 hour. So I got a place in Florence for 2 nights and I will do a day trip to Siena.

My Europe Portion of the trip is coming to an end...

20th-Pompeii Ruins and Florence
22nd-26th Rome. (wanted three full days in Rome since there was alot to see)
26th-Cruise from Rome to Galveston Get and get home on Nov 11th.

Thats just a quick synopsis on what I have planned out.

Now it is bed time.
