Today we started the morning by walking our lovely town Belvedere Marittimo, where local artists are known for their mosaic work around town. Broken.tiles everywhere as locals worked on more mosaics on walls and curbs. Then we walked around the town of Paola, about 35 min drive from where we are staying. We visited the sanctuary of St Francesco. St Francesco di Paola is the patron saint of Calabria and was my grandfather's patron saint.i wouldn't be here without him intervening to save my grandfather's life as a young man. Goosebumps as we touched old grotto walls and walked the path of this saint.

Ended the day walking the nearby town of Diamante with cousins of Nancy, my cousin. Great gelato (again). Such a fun and relaxing day.

Ciao. A doppo!
