Phrase of the week: non capisco, which means I don’t understand. Because I understand so little Italian… Sorry about the lack of pictures, the internet doesn’t like me. Do you remember the earthquake that hit Italy fairly recently? Well it was very close to this area, in this region, and it has caused a lot of damage. On this farm, there were minor cracks, and they lost many jars in the cellar, but the biggest damage was the loss of tourism- hence novisitors currently. No too much new to report. I’ve pretty much been reading, sleeping, eating, and working, just like last time I updated you. I mowed the giants lawn here. It sucked. But I’m getting a work out and I’m doing something productive. I cooked dinner one night : )All of the food is ... read more

Ciao! Ah, where to start...I guess I'll just go in order. Please excuse typos- there isn't an english spell check. Also, the internet connection is very slow so I can only include a few pictures, if any. I have a lot to say- sorry in advance for the length. Wednesday Travel from West Palm Beach to Miami via tri-rail and them Miami to London via Britsih airways was uneventul. The flight was much shorter than I was expecting, only arounf 4 hours, which is nothin compared to flying yo and from New Zealand. The most exciting thing that happened was when they gave us free wine with dinner! I knew I was going to love Europe when that happened. I began reading Eat, Pray, Love (thank for the recommendation, David) and it was a perfect travel ... read more

Three months in Italy, sedentary but restless, and I’m ready for a new adventure. This time I won’t be alone, the faithful Rocinante will accompany me on the roads of Europe and maybe further beyond. It’s not a horse as the name might suggest, it's my beautiful mountain bike. I’ve bought it two years ago, brand new. It only cost 214 € and is by far the cheapest among all those that I see around when I go out training. Nevertheless, it has already accompanied me through the whole Scandinavian peninsula without even the slightest protest. The proof that we live in a society where appearance counts more than substance, where the important thing is to buy, not to make good use of what we have. I didn’t name my mount as homage to Don Quixote ... read more

Merry Christmas Everyone!! Again it has been a while since I sent out a Travel Blog. I have been pretty busy in Italy helping my mate out re-wiring his house. I have also not had a good internet connection as all the free broadband hook ups are outside of the sticks where I am at the moment. I have got myself an Italian pay as you go card so I should be able to get internet connection for Christmas and say hello to you all - still some ‘t’s to cross on the Italian way of making things happen over here.. Since my last Travel blog, I have not been travelling as I am in a little village called Alanno near Pescara on the east coast of Italy. I will be here for over the Christmas ... read more

So what have I been doing this past month??? Where do I start... How about with FOOD!! since I love it so much. Turns out ive put on like 5kg in 3months, oh well, you only life once, im in Italy, its part of the exchange process, and holy crap the food is sooo good. Words cannot describe the goodness! and even the novelty of taking a trip to the big Italian supermarket wasnt worn off yet. Lets just say when Italians brag about their their food being the best in world, trust me they have a very good reason for it. And therefore im taking advantage of having this good food at bay. and it turns out I now have a bad chocolate addiction as well as a new found love for salt. Not to ... read more
