Kilkenny Castle and Cathedral (with scary tower)

Up and out at 8:30 with another couple in tow, heading for Kilkenny. Made it through the roundabouts, into the city, and caught a parking space on the street right next to the castle! The Castle has three of its original four towers still intact, as well as a beautiful rose garden. This started for us to blog about India in 2008 and has been used several times since. Sue went to China in 2011 and helped the girls move around the Southeast in 2012. We'll keep using it to capture pictures and travels! View from the top (almost)--the last few steps were deeper, rock (not wood) and didn't have a good handrail. I was alone, although there were folks up top, and it was VERY windy. So, I thought better of that much and took pics from the slits at my level.
