Ok so the past few nights ok for the past week we have been drinking like fishes and have been having a great time. Jen and i got to know our neighbors and we actually enjoy their company. They make fun of us and it makes us relaize the differences between us and our countries. Theyre outlook on life is so different from ours and they actually make me feel kind of spoiled living in the UNited States. They call us F*ckin Yanks... and theyr accent is just hilarious. You can barely understand them because they speak so fast, and they use different words. Once again it was time to buckle down and do another group trip, so it actually looks like we were doing something while we were over here to our college. Our next ... read more

hahahaha.... ok so today we went horseback riding. It was a really enjoyable experience. We didnt go very far, but it was quite entertaniing. My horses name was Davey, more like a pony than a horse.. "UP ON DAVEY!! UP ON DAVEY!!! (my horse was peeing and i didnt know you shouldnt sit on their back when they do, so the trainer was yelling at me to lift up my butt so i didnt hurt him) I think from galloping, the inside of my legs are numb for the next week..lol.. Later in the night we went to the circus. A one ring circus in a tent. It had to be one of the weirdest experiences of my life. I didnt know that there were actually one ring circuses anymore. The boy's got cotton candy, and ... read more

After our first few days on getting to know the area, and having class in the morning time(our only time of class on the entire trip) the professor planned a group trip to the Dingle Peninsula, led by the infamous Michael kissane (MAD MIKE!!!) I can not get over this guy.. he is absolutely terrible, and perverted.haha but it was funny. we nick named him MAD MIKE. So we started out in the bus going out of Tralee, towards the Dingle Peninsula. We stopped at a fabulous view of the Irish quilt(as people would say) In my opinion, this picture describes ireland exactly how i imagined it. Green/patchwork quilt. It was very windy and kind of cold out. I should have more than just my pink hoodie, ill let u know that. Pretty much the whole ... read more

Ahhh! We finally arrived! We flew into Shannon Airport in Ireland. Its early in the morning and the airport is barely moving. I hadnt slept the entire time on the plane, it was crunched, and i was hungry.. and... well... yea... We got on our group bus,(stomach grumbling and me practically passing out...) until i realized mom had put gold fishes in my carry on.. THANK YOU MOM!!! Me and jen ate them all and fell asleep on the bus.. it took us about 2 hours to finally reach our apartments that had our warm comfortable beds waiting for us in good ol' Tralee, Ireland. By this time, we were completely drained. Good thing was.. it was an apartment complex for college students! Which means it was an opportunity to meet new friends and get to ... read more

I was slightly misled by the offer of a 'holiday' in Ireland which actually felt more like bootcamp. The scenery was very lovely and the people very friendly here, but my nerves were a bit frayed by the end of the first day when some erroneous map reading by Sarah meant we got very lost and walked over 50km. It didn't put me in the best of spirits as we also had to do the same walk back the next day, but we managed mostly due to some kind drivers picking us up about 6km from the end and dropping us off at the youth hostel doors. The final day we took it very easy with a pint of Guinness and a sedatory limp around town. Also remind me next time I travel in Britain to ... read more
