I think that the best way to have a good night’s sleep is to down a few Bailey’s on ice the night before - it always seems to do the trick! Thursday was looking like a pretty miserable day - weather wise, but we had to make the most of it - after all, we were driving through the Ring of Kerry. I am sure that the majority of people who visit Ireland would take time out to view this remarkable stretch of coastline - many say it is the most spectacular part of Ireland, and I would be hard pressed to argue that. I let Izzy take the wheel again, as we whizzed out of Kilarney, and onto the Kerry route. He was back in rally driver mode! The road is very narrow in places, ... read more

Hey All, another update for you :D So after the Italian adventures it was off to France. Nice was our first stop, and what an excellent first stop it was. There we watched 2 more world cup matches, one where France won! (which of course lead tomayhem and partying in the streets). We also indulged maybe a little too much in the amazing chocolate crepes and waffles haha. Next, we headed over to Monaco to see princess Grace´s tomb, the formula 1 track, the infamous casino, every unbelievably expensive car you can imagine, and of course the harbour filled with some of the most luxurious yachts I have ever seen (Kelly and i considered stowing away on one just to see where we would end up). From there we headed further west to Marseilles, where we ... read more

FRIDAY 10 / 3 / - Blarney Due to my exhaustion off waking up early and getting to sleep late with a bit off CIDER in the belly the previous day it was a horrible 10.30am wake up for me... missing the complimentry breakfast and being the only person left in the bedroom sleeping! Oh my I've missed out on a whole 1.5hours off sight seeing. After a quick shower and slick off the hair I packed my bag and set off into the town centre again. I went to a sandwhich bar and ended up having an egg something. It was Irish. Whilst I was there I met another Australian who was living/working in Cork. She said her friends band where playing at a club later on and that she would call me later. Score... ... read more

Today was a very random day. I decided to go on a little trip with Mr Sands(our professor) and Greg, another student on the trip, around the area. Mr Sands had a rental car, so it was easy to get around. We stopped in Dingle to get a bite to eat, it was really good. We went to the Derrymore Strand of beaches, and we wanted to go to this one place called "Castle Gregory" because greg thought it was an actual castle. Nope, it was just another town haha.. We then made our way up through Brandon Mountain and Connors Pass. It was breathtaking once again... We wanted to stay to make it to sunrise.. and we did =)... here are some more pictures for you to all look at and be jelous of me. ... read more

Since jen and i stayed home while everyone else was kissing the blarney stone, the neihbors decided to take jen and i out to the bar. Well... it was more than we bargained for. I think they thought we could handle more... This was not the case. Jen got sick. I almost did. I think we just ended up passing out. All in all tho we met some great new irish people, girls actually. They were really sweet. ... I also am adding some pics from Horans Night Club when we went with the neighbors. A bunch of us ended up going that night. Drinks were pretty cheap and there were some crazy ass people there. This old lady was pole dancing and she had this long trench coat on.. I didnt know what to say, ... read more
