Happy Independence Day

It's the 4th of July and nobody here cares. we tell everyone we see anyway. dot brought some Bissingers chocolate balls wrapped in red white and blue. we have been handing them out all day...they are a big hit.

Last night we had our own pub crawl. We wanted to experience Ireland pub life. (Tom made us) We left the hotel around 10pm and went to Murphy's Bar. The music sounded good, but it was packed. we walked to Paudies Bar and had a drink, where it was quieter and they had traditional Irish live music. we moved on to Dingle Pub with a younger, livelier crowd and less traditional live music. pretty fun. young Irishman home on holiday hitting on Dee. lives in Florida not far from Susie. he took the picture of us you will see shortly,

stayed there till the music stopped, then headed home fora good nights sleep.

Great hike this morning. Wasn't raining much. Have movies and pics for you. Straight uphill for 45 minutes through a sheep field filled with sheep poo. met the farmer that owns the field...at least we hope he owns the field because we paid him the 2 euro trail fee. Awesome views at the top..well worth the climb.

Ice cream and shopping this afternoon. Murphy's ice cream is amazing. Tried to hike again, but was raining a little too hard. came back to town and it was sunny for our shopping spree.

Relaxing before dinner. Tom made reservations for us at this interesting place, Out of the Blue. From the outside it looks like a total dockside dump, but everyone says it is awesome and it is rated high in the Michelin book. they served nothing frozen, not even fries (poor Dee). all fish is fresh. if the fishing boats can't go out due to weather, they don't open. Can't wait.
