In July of 2011, we made the decision to leave our comfortable jobs in Northern California to see the world. We weren’t sure where we were going to go or how long we would be gone, but we wanted an adventure and we knew we could find it if we looked carefully enough. This lighthouse is at the end of a mile long jetty into Dublin Bay. It was nice blue skies when we left and by the time we got to the end of the jetty, 50 mph winds were blowing and waves were coming over the jetty. Made; ;for an exciting walk!

Dave always wanted to go to Ireland but it was never near the top of my list. A year ago March we spent a month there and I can tell you we loved every minute of it. We are eager to go back!

I think we thought of visiting "exotic" places more than Ireland, but we're very glad we got our opportunity to stay here for a while. Its been one of our favorites!
