The flight was only 3 hrs, so after the 24 to brazil, seemed more than manageable! Supplied with Pringles and water, we read and dozed the hrs away! On landing, the obligatory miserable lady at passport control glanced at the picture and waved us through! Typically our bags were one of the last in the conveyor and a mis directions later, we were on our coach, through the old lava fields to the 'city' centre! Would have been pleasant enough if it hadn't been for an Icelandic mafia (he sounded and looked like he was a mob leader- not stereotyping at all!!) man talking at full volume in our ears for 50mins! We transferred onto a little bus to take us to the hotel, driven by a very lovely lady who tried to teach us 'thank you' .... All I can say is I'm glad everyone speaks English!!!

Out hotel is stunning! The lady in reception was exceedingly helpful and funny for a foreigner! Our room looks over a beautiful square and we are abt to relayer up and venture out for some din dins!!
