This is where the American and European continents meet. The buildings on the right are the original parliament.

This is where the continents are moving apart at 2cm a year. Every so often they cause the earth to pull apart making this rift.

The four of us in front of our Landrover. See how much cooler it is than the other one behind it. Much more rugged. People were actually getting there photos taken in front of our one as well. There is snow on the lens so you can really only see me.

This is next to the original Geysir, and was going about every 5 minutes when we were there.

Bjork did a concert on a barge in here last year and had the crowd sitting round the edges of the crater.

There were loads of buiding made out of corrugated iron, including a church. It did make it all very colourful. Also the only photo I have of Reykjavik during the day.

The steam is rising from the power station that uses the geothermal water and then cools it and pumps it into the blue lagoon. The blue pools in the foreground have the same minerals and things that the Blue Lagoon does but are not heated. All surrounded by lava fields.
