We certainly had a interesting time in this country! Worst train trip I have ever been on, getting a stupid fine, scared about not been aloud into and or out of the country, stuffing ourselves with food, stuffing ourselves with beer and paying the next day like I have never before and also relaxed in the two most layed back cities that I may ever been to Szeged and Pecs.
Our first stop was Budapest though and our first night we were hosted out of the city a little and it was a gret night! We ended up drinking this local stuff, like scnaps, the name though Crazy will know and what ever it was it was very strong! 80-90% stuff! Out the back of there place they have a barrel of it with a tap so can go and help yourself to some when ever although we kept away from it.. It was a local drink that is very hard to get and only the country ppl know how to make this stuff.. Need to find the name of it though, quite good in a small amount..
Budapest was a nice city but not to sure if I
Pecs
The famous padlocks, there is a couple of areas there and it is like this.. The whole couple thing. am aloud to go back there though, when we were leaving the city after the most crazy night out (we some how ended up after getting ripped of massive by a taxi driver at this out door club/bar with two stages going with DJ's) and when getting of the tube I got nabbed by a not so nice lady asking for my ticket to use the tube. Well I apparently had the wrong ticket so after a few words between us I ended up with a 12000 fine local currency, only like 150 Aus I think. She was getting every backpacker that was coming past and there was a line of ppl who got fined, anyway I didn't pay and Mum if some mail turns up for me dont really worry about it!
In Szeged there happened to be a outdoor festival on but we were surprised by how laid back it was even for a weekend. It was a great change really coming from Belgrade which was flat our all the time.. We didn't really do anything in this city for a couple of days. The last past few weeks caught up with us so took it easy
and had some awsome meals at the restarunts there and it is crazy how cheap they all are really! We worked out we had a three course meal and 5 beers for 9 Aus.. How they do it I just dont know!
Pecs was quite the same as Szeged and very quite.. It is a beatufil little city though execpt for one massive ugly building in the middle of the town, it has no one living in it as it is not really stable bu it is to expensive to pull down so it is just standing there! Has anyone heard of the place where couple come and engrace there name on a padlock then put it onto a wall, well this is the place, there are thousands of them here! We had some fun in Pecs though with our host and on the first night other couchsurfers that were staying with us as well. The main thing to see here was the Mecset Templom (Church) but it is called the 'Mosque Church' as it was once a Islamic Church that was converte to a Christian Church.
Well this is the last of Eastern Europe now and heading
to Sweden (even though it has been a week here, this place is awsome!) So the next update will be quite large..
