Decided this morning to try a different route to town. We took back roads instead of walking on the main road into Fira. It was very interesting and a lot less traffic. We walked past olives and wine both growing alongside the road. There were also some of the famous Santorini cherry tomatoes growing in one of the fields.

There was a lot of undeveloped land as we walked along but everything seemed dry, dry, dry. Don't know how they go about irrigating the fields but as you ride the bus from Fira up to Oia you do see fields with things planted and so they must have some way to get water.

Had lunch at Cafe Classico and once again the food was great and also enjoyed the view once again. After lunch walked around Fira for a while and then decided to walk home and found another grocery store. The prices were cheaper than the one in Katerados and we got some nice veggies and a box of Greek wine.

There was a natural food store next door and we went and checked it out. Found a piece of fish that looked like tilapia and was very reasonably priced.

Back to the room and fixed one of the best meals we had while we were there. Salad, broccoli and pasta with homemade alfredo sauce and the fish lightly browned along with a glass of wine.
