I always wanted to travel and left Australia when I was 18 to travel around Europe and Asia, working on the way in London and Amsterdam, before settling down in Tel Aviv. We didn't do much travelling for years, just short family holidays in Europe, and then in 2008 we started travelling again. This travel blog starts off with our first trip to Laos and Vietnam. You drive under the bridge and cross the highway, taking the old road staight up the mountain to the monastery. We got there a little late in the day, it was already getting dark.

Actually, if I had eaten it all, it may very well have been my last supper. The Greeks were eating some sort of green vegetable so we ordered some too. It was chicory and I didn't really like it, a bit too bitter.

They are always guarded by some very neglected tough looking dogs. This time there was a shepherd too. He also looked like he had a very hard life.
