Today was biking day. We decided to rent a bicycle and ride down to one end of the island. It is suppose to be full of beautiful beaches on the way. So that is what we did. Took the bike early morning from the campsite and started down along the beach road. Soon the road ended and we were on the beach. Early morning there was a nice secluded beach where we decided to take the first dip. So off in bathing suits on this sandy beach, we had some fun spotting more fish and just swimming. Then back to biking again. Riding on the beach at edge of the water was interesting. Then we joined the road back which led to the next town. This place was full of people doing water sports like wind surfing and similar. We met our camp neighbours here. Instead of stopping at this crowded place we decided to carry on further. The road was a mix of secluded bike road and car road. It was mostly flat so we were able to make good time. In few hours we were at one of the ends of island. This place had some kind of fort
of some old construction. There were also quite a few people here who came with cars, going down to different beaches. We decided not to spend time at this beach, and find something more private.
It was getting tiring though, so we started back. Found a nice place to eat lunch, same vegetarian platter. Then did more swimming near the lunch place. It was quite nice and sunny day. So after swim, it was time for a nap. This beach was somewhat secluded, though it was full of water plants, not very nice. So we moved on and reached the next beach which was a bit cleaner. It is a very long beach with restaurants and activities at the other end. Out side of beach was mostly quite. Spent good time here reading and getting dried. Then off again. Cycling is so much more difficult after eating. We tried to bike a bit more on the beach, but mostly ended up walking the bike. Then just retraced our steps. Just as we crossed the first town we found, there was a beach which seemed like good for snorkeling. So we decided to make one final stop here. There were
people who seem to be excitedly looking at some fish here. But as soon as we got in the water, I realised its actually quite deep and rocky. Perfect for fish but scary for me. There were big rocks and between rocks some fishes. We tried to make some rounds and see something, but I was not comfortable enough to venture out in deeper water. Still it was a nice beach and perfect end to swimming for the day.
On the way out we had taken the beach road, so this time we though its better to take proper road. Little did we know that is going to lead far inland. So off on the road we soon noticed that we are going too much inland. Decided to take a short-cut. The short-cut led to narrow field road where I was worried the tires are going to puncture at any moment. Multiple false short-cuts and we were just getting too tired and running out of time. So we decided to just carry on the road and see where it leads us. Luckily there was a clear cut off back to beach town, I felt so stupid for wasting time
and energy on the short cuts. Finally we make it to campsite in time to return the bike. After that exhausted, it was time to shower and then go back to our Tavern for another dinner by sunset.
