We made it all the way down to Athens, and after a bit of a drama finding somewhere safe where someone could look after BFG for a week, we hopped on a fast boat to Santorini. It was a bit of a choppy crossing and we were so glad to arrive without needing sick bags!

We had a wonderful week based in Kamari with a hag night (stag and hen) at a winery and retro bar complete with a Bowden quiz. The wedding ceremony was stunning, taking place on the cliff face of Fira at sunset. Us bridesmaids enjoyed some spa time with the bride to be during the day and the boys went off on quads, luckily there were no accidents before the wedding. We also enjoyed a day out on a boat to visit the crater island in the middle of volcanic Santorini. We swam in the hot springs wih lumps of squidgey iron and sulphur floating around us and we climbed or rode on donkeys up the steps to Eia village to watch the sunset. Some of us hired quad bikes on our last full day to explore more of the island, I was too scared to

drive so Andy took stepped up to the plate! Laura and Gary then had a few days in Fira after the crowds had departed to enjoy a proper honeymoon!

Before the wedding, we stayed in Athens for a few days and saw the Acropolis, where the crowds of tourists seemed like ants crawling all over it! On our return leg, we visited Olympia, the site of the orginal ancient Greek olympic games and where the flame begins at the start of each modern Olympics. On the way back towards Albania, we found some beautiful quiet spots next to the beach where we camped for free.

Enjoy the pics.

Our lovely German hitchhikers who we managed to pick up 3 times along the way to Athens! We couldn't believe the coincidences involved in this as we dropped them off, they carried on hitching, then we found them again the next day!
