The western interchange off the E75 main highway for Rethymno. The main highway passes beneath the interchange and there are four traffic lanes leading on to and out of the overpass on the north side, and there are eight lanes leading on to and out of the overpass from the south side. There are traffic lights but they are not operational because the locals ignored them: no roundabout, no right of way signs, no road markings. And, amazingly, no accidents.

There were many occasions when I thought that the Chev was made for roads like the ones in Crete; especially going through those gorges where the engine noise would reverberate
