Enjoyment

I am on an island called Poros and we arrived here after a magic sail from our overnight stay. We arrived here after a 7 hour sail in perfect sailing conditions. Very quite and beautiful. We have been out for a dinner in a fantastic location with small waves swishing ashore and just the most unreal location. Photo's and discription don't do justice to some things and this is one of them. The alleys and the resturants and the general hum of the place is so exciting. Do the Greeks know how to live,Yes!!! They seem to have a culture of evening and night, and the kids can be seen to be scooting and playing, chasing and play acting, while the adults eat or just sit and talk. No hassels and just a fun time. Midnight or later, it is not unusal to have a small chlid scoot past, or mum playing with the young one and grandma feeding the little baby. It is a real eye opener and exciting. Something I had not realised is that the islands we are in at present have so little vegetation. Very baron and then a small harbour opens up and there are all these white painted houses. I think this is beautiful, but not in a way that I expected and some areas are so stark that they are , in my opion , not overly attractive, but still have a beauty that is magic.. .
