from hotel room BoppardIt is such a pity to leave our nice place at the Rhine, but the time keeps ticking, so we can only hope the next place is just as nice. We had to take the ferry to the other side of the Rhine to visit Braubach that has this magnificent castle that is completely intact. The name of it is the Marktsburg. We were there early so we had a park for the car but not early enough to go up to the castle for the round trip took three hours and that much time we did not have. We took some nice pictures of Braubach so the visit was well worth it. The GPR sent us to the autobahn but we ignored it and did our own thing. That of course did not work but we managed to get to Cochem on the Mosel. Just before Cochem we had coffee, and found out, if you order a kanchen coffee, which is cheaper, you have more then one cup. We followed the Mosel towards Bernkastel. There was very heavy traffic for the weather was nice and it was a Saturday. We made another stop to satisfy our stomachs. Bratwurst and potatoe

last look at Hotel in Boppard salad was a nice choice. We arrived early enough to have a shower and go to the centre to have a look. It was unbelievable busy. Very difficult to get a chair at a place from where you could enjoy the scenery as well as the people passing by. To find a place you have to watch, when somebody pays his bill to stand right behind him and sort of slide behind him in the chair. It is very entertaining to watch the people. You can often pick there nationality, although we are not always right. We had a nice meal and met again a Dutch couple, this time from Castricum. Had an entertaing evening. Back at the Hotel we had an early night, ready to tackle a new day. Till than Liz & Allan.
