The weather here in Europe has been amazing. Every country and city I go to the locals keep talking about how lucky I am for getting such good weather while I am here. I guess it can still get crappy and cold during this time which is normal anywhere. Today was an especially nice day very hot but enought that I can handle it.
I set out this morning to hunt down the chocolate muesum. It was not that far of a walk, I just need to cross this huge bridge and wala I was there. The muesum was kind of neat, they take you through the whole process from how the get to cocoa nuts out of the trees all the way to how they ship it.
The next room was the Lindt room where they show you how they make chocolate bars starting with the mixing process. At the end of that room we got a waffer stick dipped in chocolate. Down the line they had a assemble line on how they make truffles then at the end of that line you can buy on for €.50 they were very good.
The thing that kind of ruined it for
me there was there was about 10 different class/schools there. All these kids running around or getting stuck behind a big group.
At the end of the muesum there was a Chocolate cafe where I had a Irish Chocolate Cream. I actally didn´t really know what I was ordering because it was all in german expect the title. When it came it was beautiful. It was a tall glass with hot chocolate irish cream inside topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings and a small piece of Lindt chocolate on the side. I sat on the patio which was right by the river. It was nice to sit there take in the sun and write my journal.
Afterwards I went into the gift shop, wow I could gave spent so much money there and came home nice and fat. But I held back and only bought two bars. One is strawberry kiwi Marzinpan and the other was mint chocolate.
I was debating about walking around Köln or heading to Dusseldorf. I decided to head to Dusseldorf for a late lunch, but I had forgot me Euralpass at the apartment. I walked back to get it and on the walk
back just before I was off the long bridge, to my left right along the rivers edge there were the nude people taking in the sun.
Dusseldorf was not very intresting, it was actually hard to find a place to eat, all I could find was bars and cafes. I finally popped into a small looking resturant. I asked the girl if she spoke english, she shook her head no but the girl behind her said she knew alittle bit. I told her that I just got into Germany and have not had a german meal yet so could I please get a very german meal. She brought me Shnitzel with mushroom sauce on top and fried potatoes. It was very good and very filling. I can´t get over the potions here versus the price.
I took the train back to Cologne after getting a picture of the Dusseldorf sign of course(no one was around to take a picture with me in it 😞
When I got back Katja and I went and got a few grocerys at a close market. I loved just going up and down the rows seeing all the different types of food. Then
you get to the last row and there is the beer in the food market.
For the night we went to a metal bar that Katja goes to every weekend. It was really fun and different. This guy that we were with who when you say his name is sounds like you are saying ´Woman'but I think it is kind of like 'Roman'I don´t know but I laughed anytime someone said his name. He bought us a bottle of Mead that he says is the best one. Here they call is Honey Wine it is very good and high in %, it was 12% I think.
I think we got home at 3°clock, don´t really remeber all I know is I wanted my bed.
Katja is having a BBQ tomorrow so I decided to skip St.Goar and stay another day.

Glad you're having fun and kickin' it with the locals.. The beers that you've been describing sound deeeelicious.. What's the local metal like there? Have you heard anything familiar??
