Titisee
We are at the edge of Schwarzwald. A beautiful area with lots of things to see. We had a look at Titisee. We have been here before in 1996 and it is amazing how much it has change since than. More shops and more places to eat. We first looked at the lake, You cannot change anything on that. There are more paddle boats on the water. It cost you 8 Euro for an hour to paddle yourself silly. It was much better to have a nice coffee at a terrace and watch the people go by. There is a lot of fun doing that. Next stop was another look at the Donau, but on a place where it was wider as at Donaueschingen. That would be at a place called Giessen. Indeed, the river is a tiny bit wider but to see the real Donau, you have to go a lot further down. This took care of most of the day. It had been a warm day, so a shower was very welcome. The Last day in Furstenberg, was spend on a visit to Schaffhausen. For that we have to cross the border again, so the passports had to come.

Schaffhausen
Only 35 k.m. from Furstenberg, but it is in Switserland. A very pleasant drive over country roads took us to the border. Nobody there that was interested in you, so the crossing was easy. Did not even needed a Passport. We also had been in Schaffhausen. That was in the Fifty's. There were some changes there as well. It is not such a big waterfall but a nice one to see. It is 150 metres wide, 23 metres high and 13 metres deep. They say it is 15000 years old. It was very busy with holiday makers. We walked all along the edge of the falls. You can walk right around, but that would take to long. Again, a chair, a table and a coffee was a very nice place to see the People passing by as well as the falls. Back at the parking place, We payed the machine in Euro, but the change came back in Swiss Francs. Now we have a job getting rid of these. Tomorrow we are on the move again. Till than Liz & Allan.
