Neuschwanstein Take a trip to the fairy tale castle known as Neuschwanstein. Neuschwanstein (New Swan Rock) was opened up to the public 7 weeks after King Ludwig II passed away in 1886. Over 1.3 million people visit the castle every year. Take a bus ride or hike up to see this beautiful castle. I recommend the hike however if you are willing to take a bit of time (say 30-40 minutes) out of your day to see the beautiful scenery and enjoy the weather.
Tourist Information*

•No smoking, photographing or filming is allowed inside the castle.

•The rooms can only be visited as part of a guided tour.
