auf Wiedersehen, Munich. Jack and I visited the Alte Pinakothek and the Neue Pinakothek gazing at the art of the Old Masters and Immpressionists. One of the Van Gogh Sun Flowers is in the Neue, this was painted as a decoration for Van Gogh's house as he was expecting house guests including Paul Gauguin and he wanted art on the walls to be cheerful for his visitors. Today, we would have run to Home Goods for "wall art"!

Our last dinner was at a traditional German restaurant, the Spatenhaus which is across the street from the Munich Opera. We had the pleasure of sharing an upstairs dining room with a Russian couple and their three body guards who at in the other room. #don'tstareattheRussians.

Taxi ride back to our hotel. Strategy on repacking. The first leg of our adventure concluded.
