Not such a good day

To start this out I would say "it was not the best day of our adventure"

This morning we packed the car, with all our stuff including our food for the upcoming

week and headed SW to Garmisch-Partenkirchen Germany. The sight of the 1935 winter olympics.

Raining steadly. Traffic LOTS. Small narrow winding roads. Not a fun ride. Since we have a 6 speed

manual transmission it would mean a great number of shifts while the gps tries to lure my

attention all the time.

So, we arrive at our destination. No one answers at the apartment. We finally find someone in a lower part

of the building. Lo and behold it's our host. Who apologetically tells us she has given our accommodations

away. She tries to show us another property that we could have in its place. We declined. It was not very nice at all.

It is Germany's national holiday and all properties are booked. We have driven back to where are friends home is

and will wait out the rain for a couple days before heading down into Austria.
