This morning we had our free breakfast and caught a bus at 8:30am to get to the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles. Let's just call them N and H for short. H is the castle of the parents and N is the one that the son built later. It's also the castle Disney used to help create "Sleeping Beauty Castle". Mom liked the fact that I had reserved our tickets online and so we walked right to the front and got our tickets, first to H, then N.. Mom picked out a carriage and off we went to the castle. What we found was that we were going to the wrong castle so we had to complete our ride to the castle, then back down again, then up to the H castle. We were now running late so we hiked up the mountain. Yes, that's right. Mom climbed all the way and also through the castle. Then we walked back down a gradually sloped trail back to the bottom for some shopping.
Next we took a bus this time to N castle but the bus stops well short of the castle and so we did another walk. This time Mom

View from below. No pictures allowed inside. Detail work inside was unbelievable.said no to the castle and opted for shopping and headed for the horse carriage. I went through the castle and it was beautiful inside and out. Seven stories tall. Good thing she skipped it. I met her below and we rode the carriage down. There we caught the city bus and returned to town by 3pm.
We got cleaned up and headed out to the town festival. There were several stages with music plus arts and crafts, people in costume and more strudel. Love that polka music. Later that evening, Franz, the hotel manager, recommended a restaurant to try for genuine Bavarian food. We went and it was great. Potato soup with special croutons, sausage dishes, red cabbage, pork and, of course, beer and strudel.
It rained on us as we returned to the hotel but it wasn't cold. The evenings have been warmer than at home and in the 70s and 80s during the day.
Note that we were supposed to be in Salzburg this night but I had called yesterday and cancelled the two nights there because of our passport problem and Franz hooked us up in a fancy room for the same price for tonight. We'll call the

I can't believe she did that climb! It was long and hard consulate tomorrow when they open and find out what we should do.
Sorry about pictures but just to type this I had to re-sign in five times since service keeps dropping out. Wifi is free but not the best.

that Scarlett has beat me to the draw she has drained the accounts and is spending it like it water. so I did the only thing I could do I picked up some mexxicans at home depot to strip the house of the copper plumbing wow they pay real good on copper we are back in the money for a while after the Mexicans left I notice some of the furniture missing so its agood thing you guys had a lot of table n chairs its not so cluttered in the house now the house is still here just not much left of it see u soon.
