English My week here in hospital was completely different from how I had expected it to be. On Thursday morning, the doctors turned up in my room. They told me that they had been pretty surprised that the Australian doctors didn't want me to weightbear for another ten weeks. They said the bones had healed pretty well, and the reason for operating patients was to mobilize them as soon as possible. They even explained to me that the bones needed weightbearing for mending. They wanted to start mobilizing me the very same day. So a few hours later, the physiotherapist came into my room with a walker. I got onto my feet for the first time in exactly seven weeks. English Again I don't have any exciting stories to tell. Two weeks with lots of work are over. English After coming home from Frankfurt last week, I was struggling with a cold, so I could not go flying last weekend in spite of the beautiful weather. At least I wanted to be out in the sunshine, so we went for a long walk on the Schwäbische Alb and watched some sailplanes that were being towed up by a winch last Sunday. On Wednesday, I went to the Volksfest with my Mum, that is the version of the Oktoberfest that takes place in Stuttgart. There are beer tents, and you can ride many different carousels and stuff. There is a big transportable observation wheel that is 60 metres high and gives you a really nice view of the entire fair, especially at night when all the coloured lights are on.
