Visited the Palace of Versailles today, about half an hour south west of Paris. Difficult to describe the sheer opulence of King Louis X1V of France, who with his wife, Marie Antoinette, starved the french peasants to fund their lavish lifestyle. It is little wonder the peasants rose up in the French Revolution and beheaded Louis and Marie at the Guillotine.

There are just too many photos to choose from, so we have selected some of the photos of the inside of the Palace for one blog entry, and created another blog entry for the Palace gardens.

Enjoy.
