Day 6 Saulieu

Cool start but warm enough for an al fresco breakfast.



Decided to stay a day here as it was so nice. Bikes out & off to a lake outside Saulieu then on to a village with an old chateau (a cross between a chateau & a mill/brewery) & menhir. A long drag back so stopped for a cheese & fig baguette (Cathy) & a jambon presille for me. Ordered lunch in my brilliant school boy French only then to discover the Maitre D was from Beverley, N. Yorkshire, not far from where we lived in Wilberfoss! She made me suffer....small world eh?



Decided to change plan for tomorrow as it was a bit too far to Briancon in one go – going to St Alban de Vareze instead.
