We arrived in the early evening yesterday, so we were quite tired after our long travel. This morning we went too La Rochelle, a very pretty, small harbour town which we walked around briefly before stopping at a bistro for lunch. I had a whole pizza! After lunch we climbed an old tower which used to be used to gaurd the townfrom incoming boats. We climbed too the very top and got an amazing view of the town and the two lighthouses flashing in syncronisation! Next we walked round the tower to the outer side of the town where we got a boat at just 0,60 EURO (40p!!) back into the inner town, passing through the two towers, one of which we had just climbed! When we got back into the inner town, we got off the boat and wandered around the market, where we bought a beautiful picture of one of the lighthouses and some of the tall sailing boats in front of it, all reflecting in the water. We also wandered around some shops, and there was a great atmosphere, and some very neat and pretty shops. After a lovely day, we relaxed in the evening with a
