Cool and cloudy.

Carried bags from train station to Covey's hotel. Stuffed them in Peugeot. Perilous drive out of city. No passport check entering France.

Drove first to Annecy. Wonderful market along canals. Walked to castle but did not enter. Bought lunch food; picnic by lake.

Found loges in Paray. Delicious full meal, even if Joyce got a liver salad by accident. Very goumet. Stuffed.

Terrible mattress; dark room.
