Vaison Stone Circle

I came across these rocks in a field when I was working in the South of France.

It is a couple of kilometres outside of Vaison La Romaine and looks like a random collection of stones but on closer inspection and with the aid of google earth you can see a symmetrical structure that looks to me like a sacred geometry or cymatics pattern.

It is like a set of 'Russian Doll' stone circles with an outer circle with 4 groups of 5 stones each separated with a large space which is filled with a large stone. The second circle inside the larger one repeats 3 stones, then 4 stones (which is more like 2 stone pairs separated by a smaller gap). Then in the middle you have 9 stones that form a square with 2 stones aligned against each square side and other stones forming a kind of circle. Take a look at the Google Earth image I have included with this blog entry or on the amateur video I made.

The stones appear to have crystals in them, they glisten in the sun so possibly some signs that the piezoelectric nature of the stones was used in energy manipulation.



Interesting thing is the modern markings - quotes from writers, city names and Chinese writing. I cannot find any information online about the site so I am not sure if this is a modern day construction or an ancient site with modern artwork on it.

I did find one article detailing that the circle is Celtic and that an extra stone was mysteriously added in 2002.
