bike riding

yesterday was so much fun!! i went bike riding with a girl i met the day before. we went on this ride to all these castles (none of which we saw, but anyway). we left at about 11ish and at 1.30ish it started absolutely pouring and didn't stop for about an hour!! we were saturated. we seriously looked like we'd just had a shower with all our clothes on. it was so fun. we were laughing the entire time. i'm loving this belgian countryside. absolutely dead flat. we came across this gorgeous tea house just as it stopped raining and i had my belgian experience. chocolate waffles!! so yummy. so so so good. we felt so bad, we were dripping all over the floor but the shop owners were just laughing at us looking like drowned rats. it was all very amusing. i'm so glad we did it. we had a ball. i thought i'd wake up with a cold this morning though, but i'm all good so far. we didn't get back til about 5ish though. we took a short cut back and just got a tiny bit lost. our map had got soaked as well so it was very difficult to see where we were supposed to go coz the paper was all squishy. we had fun though. we also went on a guided walking tour for 2 hours last night around brugge. that was good too. we got a bit of an overview of the history etc. the others have gone bike riding again today but i don't think i can handle three days of exercise in a row so i'm exploring the town. probably a good idea considering i haven't seen it yet and i leave tomorrow. we climbed the bell tower this morning and that was fun. 366 steps up these very narrow stairs to a fantastic lookout point. that was fun. especially when the bells started ringing (playing ode to joy) very loudly in our ear. it was definitely worthwhile though. that's about it for now. going to investigate the shops and get some chocolate. yum.

hey lis, good to hear your having a BALL! its sounds like so much fun! chocky wffles! i'm soooo jealous! yum yum yum! although one thing you mentioned did suprise me..you said you didn't by any chocolate...hmmm..? what were you thinking! gosh! another thing that absolutely shocked me was this re occurring theme of BIKE-riding! wow! Go lis! thats awesome! obviously psyching yourself up for common wealth games huh?! haha.oh i have some news for you i finally got my L's! whoo! and i'm planning to go to serbia for 2weeks then follow on to the greek islands and meet up w emma on a contiki tour for for 13 days starting july 5 and was wondering where you will be around that time... maybe we could catch up!let me know champ! keep updating me on the awsome fun your having!keep safe! missing you 2 bits luv marsh xoxoxoxoxoxoxox - masa
