Walking through the Smedenpoort gate into the old city of Brugges and turning around, you get to view how defensive walls were made in the Middle Ages with two canals and two sand walls. With closer inspection on the gate a bronze skull is hanging from this which is a copy of one poor chap who was a traitor in 1688.

I was just in Brugge this weekend
Hey chris. I am working in the Hague for a couple of weeks. I went to Brugge this weekend it was a beautiful city. I also went to De Garre. I am guessing you weren't there but a few days before me crazy coincidence. If you ate still traveling around and need a place to crash come to the Hague I will hook you up.
